Thermage

THERMAGE

The Thermage system is a non-invasive radiofrequency (RF) therapy designed to smooth, tighten, and contour skin for an overall younger-looking appearance. The minimally invasive laser skin treatment uses radiofrequency to heat up the deep layers of the skin to stimulate the skin to produce new, healthy collagen over the months following treatment. Furthermore, Thermage helps tighten the existing collagen, giving an immediate improvement in facial contours, sagging skin, and unwanted bulges.

With its fourth-generation system, Thermage FLX has improved the comfort, speed (25% faster), and efficiency (greater coverage) of its treatments to provide better results and more patient comfort.

What is Thermage?

Thermage is a non-surgical FDA-approved cosmetic procedure. Using non-invasive radiofrequency (RF) therapy thermage helps to tighten the skin. This way Thermage is an excellent solution for treating wrinkles and improving the appearance of the skin, such as unevenness due to cellulite. We know how important a natural-looking result is when treating the skin of the face and the body. Thermage takes you beyond dermal fillers and is a popular and safe skin tightening solution.

LASER TREATMENT THAT TIGHTENS THE SKIN

Thermage is amazing for patients who want to avoid injections and surgery. It is a non-invasive laser treatment that tightens and smoothens the skin on the face and around your body.

Thermage uses radiofrequency technology, which applies heat to the different layers of the skin, and therefore produces an immediate tightening effect. The treatment can lift and firm the skin on your face, arms, buttocks, legs, and tummy. It can also be used to treat eyelids and other delicate areas.

How long does Thermage last?

The result of a single Thermage treatment lasts between 6 to 24 months depending on the patient, but for most patients, the results can last two years. Since we all age differently, experiencing different types of aging processes, the results will, of course, be individual. Thermage does not stop the aging process, but it slows down for a period.

Patients often receive another treatment between 1½ -2 years after their first treatment to prolong the results on the skin.

SIDE EFFECTS?

Older Thermage treatments used to have a bit of a bad reputation due to the amount of heat Themages creates under treatments. This is not the case for Thermage today, where cooling of the skin makes the procedure much more comfortable. Some redness can occur on the skin and you might feel some discomfort and tightening sensation in the skin area after the procedure. Recovering from Thermage does, of course, depend on how large the treated area is, and recovery varies from hours to a couple of days.

RF caouses no major health risks. According to the FDA, radiofrequency does not impair your health any greater than drinking coffee affects you.
